HUNTING AND COLLECTING

Occupying a 300m2 space over two levels, the select store “Hunting and Collecting”  carries a constantly rotating selection of more than 30 exclusive brands for men, women and children. The store also provides footwear, accessories, design objects, and press dedicated to modern culture.  On the lower level, a newly refurbished gallery space holds regular exhibitions, showcasing the latest works of artists and designers.

Musée Royale de l’Armée et d’Histoire Militaire

A survey of more than 10 centuries of military and technological history, the collections range from suits of armour over valuable firearms and masterly crafted swords to armoured vehicles and airplanes. Uniforms demonstrate the evolution in military equipment and the influence of civil fashion on military clothing. The history  is never far away: the Austrian, French and Dutch periods, Belgian independence and military politics, the weal and woe of the dynasty, the big world conflicts,… Everything is brought back to life through numerous paintings, sculptures, decorations and other memorabilia.

DIA ARCHIVE

Archiving project is made by the artist Mathieu Gargam. He’s collecting, selecting and diffusing slides. Mostly family   pictures are found in streets or collected in flea markets. More than 30 000 pictures are actually included in the collection. This blog updates every day those pictures which are raw material for artistic projects.
